Director & Head Instructor
Paolo has more than thirty year’s experience in the skiing industry, teaching and coaching in the United States, Europe and Australia. He holds a diploma of sports psychology, sports nutrition and is a qualified fitness trainer. Paolo provides a holistic approach to snow sports, incorporating mental and physical health and fitness. He is a member of APSI (Australian Professional Snow Sports Instructors) and ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association).
Since first witnessing the indoor slopes in action in the Netherlands, Paolo has been focused on bringing them to Australia. Paolo is the definition of dedicated - first in pouring his heart and soul into the physical build and fit out of Vertikal, meticulously crafting every detail of the ski centre to re-create snow “culture” here in Canberra, and second, in his genuine interest and drive to get the best out of his students. Have a spare hour to talk about Ted Ligety's spectacular racing technique? Paolo’s your man. After all, Paolo was born with a tiny pair of skis on his feet.
